Client & Project
Adorama
New York Rhapsody
Adorama was launching a new campaign to reconstruct their branding. In this campaign, they tasked us to create a short film about what it’s like to be a creative in New York City - as well as a commercial for the company to mark their new branding and online presence. Instead of a traditional commercial, Adorama wanted to make something their targeted demographic would appreciate, and connect with their customers on a different level. We also secured full music rights from Sony Music for the song, ‘New York Rhapsody’. A classic way to show NYC.
My Role
Director of Photography
2nd Unit Director & Editor
My roles were 2nd unit Director, DP, and Editor. The Director was confident enough in my abilities to lead the team, and also gave me freedom to capture shots that I thought would help the film. Production schedule was tight so we had to split into two teams to make sure we had all grounds covered. Through careful planning, and communication, we were able to execute. When filming in all hours of the day around the concrete jungle, you really see why NYC is so unique and its own character. The team and client were very happy with the end results.
